PHP / JavaScript Developer Needed – Fingerprint Scanner Integration for Existing HMS

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced PHP / JavaScript developer to build and integrate a biometric fingerprint scanning module into our existing Hospital Management System (HMS).

Our existing system is built using HTML, PHP and JavaScript.

The main requirement is to integrate a USB biometric fingerprint scanner (HID/R920E10016) with the existing web application. When a patient places their finger on the scanner, the system should capture the fingerprint, convert/save the captured image as a JPEG, and automatically upload and store it in a designated server folder.

The developer will need to:

• Integrate the fingerprint scanner using the appropriate SDK, WebAPI or local-agent/bridge solution.
• Capture the fingerprint from the scanner through the web application.
• Convert/save the fingerprint image as a standard JPG/JPEG.
• Use PHP to securely receive, validate, rename and store the image according to the patient ID.
• Save the image path/file information as required by the existing system.
• Add a "Scan Fingerprint" button and fingerprint preview area to the existing patient registration/management interface.
• Make the solution work with our existing HTML/PHP/JavaScript structure.

Required technologies:

PHP, JavaScript/AJAX, HTML5/CSS3 and experience integrating hardware biometric devices with web applications.

The final deliverable should include the complete working source code, integration files, any required database SQL changes, and setup/deployment instructions.

Important: Before accepting the project, please confirm that you have experience integrating USB fingerprint scanners with web-based applications and that you can work with the HID/R920E10016 device or its available SDK/API.
