Terms & Conditions

Welcome to WorkChest. By accessing or using workchest.com, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account and use the Platform.

2. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information during registration.

3. Roles on the Platform

  • Freelancers may list services, bid on projects, and receive payment for completed work.
  • Employers may post projects, purchase services, and pay freelancers for completed work.

4. Projects, Bids & Services

  • Employers post projects with a description, budget, and requirements. Freelancers may submit bids.
  • Freelancers may list services ("Gigs") at fixed pricing tiers, which employers can purchase directly.
  • All projects and services are subject to review/approval before appearing publicly on the Platform.

5. Payments & Escrow

  • Payments for projects are held in escrow via our payment partner, GoPayFast, and released to the freelancer upon employer approval of completed milestones.
  • WorkChest charges a service fee/commission of 10% on completed transactions.
  • Prices on the Platform may be listed in USD or PKR depending on the listing.

6. Cancellations & Disputes

  • Either party may raise a dispute regarding an order or milestone through the Platform's dispute resolution system.
  • WorkChest will review disputes in good faith and may mediate, but is not liable for the quality or outcome of work performed between users.

7. Prohibited Conduct

Users may not:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Circumvent the Platform to avoid fees (e.g., arranging payment outside WorkChest for a project initiated on the Platform)
  • Engage in harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior
  • Upload content that infringes intellectual property or violates applicable law

8. Intellectual Property

Freelancers retain ownership of work until full payment is received, at which point ownership/rights transfer as agreed between the parties, unless otherwise specified in the project agreement.

9. Account Suspension & Termination

WorkChest reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a risk to other users.

10. Limitation of Liability

WorkChest is a marketplace connecting independent freelancers and employers. We are not a party to the agreements between users and are not liable for the quality, legality, or outcome of work performed.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
