Development OTT platform for streaming movies like Netflix

Job Description

We are currently implementing a large-scale technical project to develop an Arabic OTT entertainment platform. The aim is to provide a professional viewing experience across the web and smart apps, similar in structure and performance to platforms like Netflix. The current phase requires expanding the development team to work on several aspects of the project, including ongoing and complex tasks that require specialized technical expertise.

The scope of work includes:

Continuous development of the platform using Flutter for Android and iOS applications, and Laravel for the back-end systems.

Adding new features, including smart recommendations, playlists, parental controls, and a content rating system.

Improving performance and user experience through usability testing, bug fixes, and user interface improvements.

Integrating and managing video players, supporting multi-quality streaming, subtitles, and multiple audio tracks.

Developing a subscription system, integrating payment methods, and managing subscriber privileges.

Creating advanced dashboards for users and administrators, with performance analysis and behavior tracking tools.

Improving security and reliability using protection technologies and encryption of sensitive data.

We are looking for technical partners capable of contributing to this project on a long-term basis, part-time or full-time, remotely or freelance, depending on individual skills and development needs.

Required Skills:

1. Flutter (iOS/Android): Experience building complex, high-performance applications.

2. Laravel: Ability to design and develop RESTful APIs and integrate with databases such as MySQL.

3. Video and Streaming Technologies: Working with Video.js and ExoPlayer, video compression, and subtitle encoding.

4. Subscription Systems: Designing and developing subscription and payment management systems.

5. Collaboration and Development Tools: Proficiency in Git and working with remote team environments.

Preferred Additional Qualities:

Experience with OTT or live streaming projects.

Knowledge of DevOps fundamentals and publishing applications to the App Store and Play Store.

Previous contributions to on-demand video or content viewing systems.
