Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Shopify App Developer to fix critical bugs and make updates to our live public Shopify app.The app is already published on the Shopify App Store and currently hosted on a VPS server (Cameo 1). We need a skilled developer who can handle backend/server-related fixes, troubleshoot hosting issues, and implement app improvements directly through GitHub deployment without requiring unnecessary Shopify review submissions.
The exact tasks and required changes will be discussed during a meeting after reviewing your experience.
Responsibilities
Fix critical bugs in a live Shopify app
Troubleshoot and optimize VPS hosting/server setup
Make updates and improvements in the existing codebase
Deploy changes through GitHub workflow
Ensure the app remains stable and functional after deployment
Work on both frontend and backend if required
Communicate clearly regarding implementation and timelines
Requirements
2–3+ years of Shopify app development experience
Strong experience with public Shopify apps
Experience with VPS hosting and deployment
Strong understanding of Shopify APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and app architecture
Experience with GitHub version control and deployment workflows
Ability to debug and resolve critical production issues quickly
Good communication skills
